Abstract
Every company always demands that employees work their best to create a safe and comfortable work environment so that they are able to work optimally without neglecting their work safety. Work safety is an effort or activity to create a safe work environment, preventing all forms of accidents. The problems faced by the Tanjung Emas Port Semarang are optimizing work safety and operating loading and unloading equipment optimally. Work safety for loading and unloading employees in order to support the loading and unloading process of containers at the Port of Tanjung Emas in Semarang. Still found loading and unloading employees not wearing safety equipment. The less than optimal effect of using safety equipment means that the health and safety of employees is not guaranteed, increases the risk of work accidents and hinders processes at the port. The purpose of this paper is to carry out by knowing the principles of handling loading and unloading, coordinating and communicating regarding the work of employees in loading and unloading, remembering the rules for using safety equipment, practicing health and safety equipment, and holding safety meetings for loading and unloading employees. . The methods used are observation, interview, literature and literature. The results obtained by workers are being able to know the principles of maximum loading and unloading, carry out all work safety procedures step by step, and still pay attention to safety tools at work and their equipment.
