Abstract
The growth of the shipping industry is closely related to the economic growth of countries in the world, because this means of transportation is very dependent on export-import activities. PT. Harindra Mitra Sempurna Semarang branch is a loading and unloading company engaged in the loading and unloading of bulk cargo, in charge of providing bulk cargo unloading services and bulk cargo delivery from ship holdings to land transportation or to warehouses. In the loading and unloading process, there is optimization so that it runs smoothly. Unloading can be done immediately, starting from cargodoring, receiving / delifery delivery to the warehouse of the goods owner. optimization is the achievement of results as expected effectively and efficiently. As for the completeness of documents and tools in loading and unloading activities. The loading and unloading activity is an activity that supports the smooth transportation from and to a ship to a port so that the loading and unloading activities of goods to and from the ship have an important position so that obstacles in the loading and unloading process can be overcome. The purpose of writing this paper is to determine the optimization of soybean meal bulk loading and unloading services by PT. Harindra Mitra Sempurna at PT. Chaeron Pokphan Indonesia in the port of Tanjung Emas in Semarang. The writing of this paper is based on literature study and field studies using observation and interview methods. The results of the optimization of loading and unloading services are to reduce time wasted when there are obstacles so that the loading and unloading process runs smoothly and quickly. Keywords: PT.
