Abstract
The KSOP Class II Tanjung Pinang office has an important role in the supervision of shipping safety and security. The government shall appoint supervision of the fulfillment of the provisions of these laws and regulations to ensure the safety and security of shipping. The basis for law enforcement at sea is the implementation of cooperation between the harbormaster and the parties involved in ship operations. The importance of safety and security issues in shipping is a responsibility in the port because the biggest problem in ship accidents on a voyage is a matter of a person's ability and expertise in carrying out a duty of portability. The purpose of this observation is to find out how the responsibility of the port authority and port authority of Tanjung Pinang Class II in shipping security and safety. The method used is the method of data collection, done by taking documents in the form of archives or reports related to observations. After we make observations, we continue the interview, the interview here carries out structured oral communication by two or more people. This interview was conducted in the work room and in the field. The result achieved is that what we know is the responsibility in KSOP class II Tanjung Pinang is very important because it includes shipping safety and security.
