Abstract
The feasibility of fishing vessels is something that needs to be considered because it involves the safety and security of shipping. A problem of the feasibility of a national scale ship that develops in line with the development of society. The problems faced today are the still high number of ship accidents in Java sea waters and the lack of awareness, safety and worthiness of a fishing boat. This study aims to determine the effect of ship operation tools, ship manning, ship safety equipment and the role of the harbormaster partially and simultaneously on the worthiness of fishing boats at Juwana fishing port with a sample of 100 respondents. The sampling technique used was probability sampling with the type of sampling, namely purposive sampling. The analytical method used is descriptive analysis and quantitative analysis, the data were analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis with the help (software) Statistics Package for Social Science (SPSS). The results of this study showed that the variables of ship operating equipment, Fishing boat, ship safety equipment, and the role of Syahbandar influenced partially and simultaneously on the reliability of fishing vessels in juwana fishing port. The result of multiple linear regression analysis obtained Y equation =-0.504 + 0.281X1 + 0.222X2+ 0.368X3+ 0.267X4+ μ. From the regression equation it can be known that the most dominant variable affecting the reliability of fishing vessels is the variable of ship safety equipment with a regression coefficient of 0.368. With the R2 (R Square) test obtained results of 0.658 or 65.8% which means that the kelaikan fishing boat in Juwana fishing port is influenced by variable ship operation equipment, ship safety equipment, ship safety equipment and the role of Syahbandar of 65.8% and other factors that affect the ship's reliability in Juwana fishing port is 34.2%.
