Abstract
This fresh water cooler is very influential in the engine, because it functions to cool or reduce the temperature generated from burning fuel in the cylinder liner. If there is a disturbance in the fresh water cooling system, it will cause the temperature to rise and reduce the performance of the main engine. The disturbance in the fresh water cooling system is due to the lack of regular maintenance, based on the results of the implementation of periodic maintenance it can extend the life of the fresh water cooler and minimize damage to the main engine components. Key words: fresh water cooler, maintenance, performance main engine
