Abstract
Surabaya as a port city which is very busy with sea traffic is indeed very heavy in carrying out its duties in terms of improving sailing safety. The Port Office and the Port Authority have the duties and responsibilities to carry out supervision and law enforcement in the field of shipping safety and security, coordination of government activities at ports as well as regulating, controlling and supervising port activities at ports that are commercially operated. In carrying out these duties and responsibilities, the Office of the Harbormaster and the Port Authority carries out the implementation of supervision and compliance with shipworthiness, ship certification, prevention of pollution from ships and determination of the legal status of ships as well as dealing with the causes that cause sea accidents. This paper aims to increase activities in the area of the Tanjungp Tanjungp Harbormaster Office area so that the authors hope that what has been stipulated in the existing regulations at Tanjung Perak Kesyahbandaran Office will be carried out properly and according to existing procedures.
