Abstract
This research is motivated by transportation in Indonesia from time to time which develops rapidly, the growth of transportation increases so that the density of traffic flows. The problem of traffic accidents cannot be separated from the increasing volume of vehicles on the road. Driving safety is the most important thing in driving on the highway to avoid accidents. So that driving safety needs to be applied in driving a vehicle. This study aims to determine road conditions, vehicle conditions, and driving skills partially on driving safety on the Demak - Welah road section. The population in this study were motorcyclists on the Demak - Welah road within 1 hour (07:00 - 08:00) and the sample of this study was 100 respondents. The sampling technique is nonprobability sampling with the type of sampling that is insindential sampling. The data analysis used in this research is descriptive analysis and quantitative analysis, the data is analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis with the help of (software) Statistic Package for Social Science (SPSS) version 23. The results of the research by testing the t-test hypothesis partially show that road conditions, vehicle conditions, and driving skills have a positive and significant effect on driving safety. Based on the research results it can be seen that the research model of the multiple linear regression equation is: Y = 0.226 + 0.505 X1 + 0.150 X2 + 0.291 X3 + µ. From the regression equation, it can be seen that the most dominant variable affecting driving safety is road conditions with a regression coefficient of 0.505. And the R2 (R Square) test resulted in a result of 0.579 or 57.9%, which means that driving safety on the Demak - Welah road section is influenced by variables of road conditions, vehicle conditions, and driving skills, namely 57.9% and other factors. affect the safety of driving on the Demak - Welah road by 0.421 or 42.1%.
