Abstract
Indonesia is an archipelago that has more than 17,000 islands with a total area of 735,355 square miles, so without adequate transportation facilities, especially sea transportation, it will be difficult to connect all areas in this archipelago. This study aims to determine the effect of Human Error, Procedure Error, and Weather partially and simultaneously on Ship Accidents on Shipping Lines at Tanjung Emas Port Semarang. The population in this study was taken from the crew on ships passing the Shipping Route at the Port of Tanjung Emas in Semarang and the sample used in this study were 80 respondents. The analytical method used in this research is descriptive analysis and quantitative analysis, then the data is analyzed using multiple linear regression with the help of (software) Statistic Package for Social Science (SPSS). The results of the hypothesis test show that the variables Human Error, Procedure Error, and Weather have partially and simultaneously affected Ship Accidents on the Shipping Route at the Port of Tanjung Emas, Semarang. The results of multiple linear regression analysis obtained Y = 1.121+ 0.406X1 + 0.383X2 + 0.103X3 + µ. From this equation, it is known that the variable that has the most dominant influence on ship accidents is the Human Error variable with a regression coefficient of 0.406. The R2 (R square) test results in 0.574 or 57.4%, which means that ship accidents are influenced by the variables of Human Error, Procedure Error, and Weather, which is 57.4% and other factors that affect Ship Accidents on the Shipping Route at Tanjung Harbor.
