Abstract
ISM CODE application in emergency preparedness at KMP. GERBANG SAMUDRA I The safety and security system for marine transportation in Indonesia is not yet running optimally, accidents still frequently occur both due to natural and human factors and lack of understanding of the work system. Safety and security of ship operation is a condition of fulfilling the requirements of the obligations that must be fulfilled from the seaworthiness of the ship in accordance with Law Number 17 of 2008 concerning Shipping. The purpose of this paper is to determine the importance of implementing safety management on ships and to know the preparedness of the crew in an emergency and what equipment is used in implementing an emergency on a KMP. GERBANG SAMUDRA I. In this paper, the author uses observation and interview techniques and also uses the literature method. The existence of a ship is certainly never separated from the risk of ship accidents. By providing an understanding of the application of emergencies. So that it reduces / eliminates the possibility of emergencies on board the ship and can overcome it quickly, precisely, safely and in control.. Keywords : Application, ISM CODE, Emergency.
