Abstract
Importantly, hydrant maintenance on the ship to anticipate fire on the ship Shipbuilding Survey PT CITRA BAHARI SHIPYARD TEGAL Hydrant is a fire extinguisher system that still uses high pressure water media. A hydrant is also a device or connecting terminal for emergency assistance in the event of a fire. In this way it is expected that the fire that occurred can be handled so as not to enlarge. On ships that have important places, there must be a Hydrant as a means of overcoming the fire disaster. Hydrant is a vital tool and must remain in optimal condition. Preparations in the operation of Hydrant must be really neatly arranged because it is very influential on the use of hydrant in the event of a fire. Treatment must also be done thoroughly and periodically. Checking the components of the hydrant system must be done routinely. This was done so that no problems occur when the hydrant is used. In the preparation of this paper the author uses the method of data collection by means of observation and interviews, data collection is done when doing practice at PT CITRA BAHARI SHIPYARD TEGAL. At that time problems often occur on the ship. After observation, the writer has the data that is used as the final task of making paper. Therefore, when doing practice the writer always makes note of what problems occur. Hydrant must be ready to use at any time because fire is an emergency. Therefore the hydrant must remain in optimal conditions. Because with optimal conditions the hydrant will work well when used. Therefore comprehensive care and periodic maintenance. Because Hydrant is the most efficient tool to anticipate when a fire occurs.
