Abstract
Fresh Water Generators on board is one of the auxiliary machinery to convert sea water into fresh water through the refining process, namely, the evaporation in the evaporator and condensing within condenser. The aircraft has very important role in the smooth operation of the ship, where the operation of the ship can not be separated from the need of fresh water. (Catur Sakti Raharjo, 2014) So the importance of the role of the Fresh Water Generator on Board then the need for checking and maintenance in order to keep the maximum performance. One factor causes a leak in the pipe evaporator is the presence of corrosion on the pipe going yg because often exposed to sea water. And it often happens also sea water pressure not maximal which enter into fresh water generator is a problem in one part of the pump ejector pump. The existence of a problem on the eduktor pipeline will also be very influential on the level of the race produced by fresh water generator. Checking and regular treatment is very in need so that fresh water generator. can work with maximum. The results obtained from this research is the cause of the existence of a nuisance leaks on pipe evaporator. Due to the location of the dirty sea water and contain very high levels of salt that raises the crust and corrosion. And the cause of the lack of water pressure on the sea akibatkan by damage to one of the components that are on the pump ejector pump.
