Abstract
Water is a major requirement on MT. SANGA SANGA ships, where water is converted into steam which is used as a heat source. Pure water can be obtained by removing dissolved metals contained in the water. The research conducted by the author aims to determine whether the water in the boiler can still be used to produce steam with the above factors, the authors analyze the parameters of pH, TDS, Silica and Hardness using a boiler water test kit. For the standards applied in the boiler ship manual book MT SANGA SANGA.The standard pH for boiler feed water is set to range between 10-11.5. The TDS standard for boiler feed water is a maximum of 350 ppm at. The silica standard for boiler feed water is a maximum of 150 ppm. Therefore, the maintenance of boiler water filler must be maintained in accordance with the specified manual book standard.
