Abstract

The growth of the shipping industry is very closely related to the economic growth of countries in the world. However, in the transportation business there are also obstacles in the implementation process of the organizers, so that public services are required to set service standards guidelines to provide certainty and improve quality in carrying out port services at the port which becomes the main task as a container terminal operator. The purpose of this activity is to improve services at the port in accordance with procedures, in order to be able to compete with other legal entities in the field of port services. The methods used in data collection include interviews, observation, document studies, and literature studies. The results of this activity show that the equipment used in the loading and unloading activities is determined by the type of goods to be unloaded, and by adding facilities at the container terminal. In addition, in the preparation of the Bay Plan, there is a need for coordination from the port and marketing, as well as the loading process of the Bay Plan with a loading and unloading plan (stowage plan).
