Abstract
Currently Indonesia's in position increasing economic growth, of course it affects the export of goods in Indonesia which is also increasing. So in this case the loading and unloading company PT. Merak Jaya Asri was appointed by PT. Putra Baja Deli as shipper to carry out steel bar loading. The company is engaged in the loading and unloading of goods which includes stevedoring, cargodoring, receiving and delivery activities. In this steel bar loading there are documents needed in the loading process, using certain equipment, and there are several parties involved in the process, and there are procedures and stages that must be carried out sequentially. The purpose of this paper is to find out the documents needed, the equipment used, the parties involved, and the loading procedure. Based on data collection conducted during the land practice the author uses several methods of data collection including interviews, observation, document studies, and literature studies. The results of this paper describe the steel bar loading document, the equipment needed, the parties involved in the process, and the loading procedure. The conclusion of this paper is that there are a number of documents made before loading begins and after loading is carried out, there are two types of equipment namely lifting and lashing tools, involving several related parties to assist the smooth running of activities, and there are procedures that must be carried out sequentially.
