Abstract
Nowadays where free trade is increasingly becoming an economic concept that is embraced by many countries including Indonesia. One of the cheap transportation to support the activities of shipping goods by sea is the link between sea and land transportation modes. As time goes by PT. PELINDO III Tanjung Emas Semarang Branch built the Semarang Container Terminal to provide loading and unloading services for containers. The purpose of writing this paper is to provide readers with knowledge about Container Unloading Activities at the Port of Tanjung Emas in Semarang. In carrying out the process of loading and unloading there are a number of things that need to be considered, one of which is the constraints faced when carrying out container unloading activities on ships being dumped into the stacking field, efforts made to prevent obstacles that occur when unloading containers from the ship, what agencies which is related. The writer hopes that the readers can understand more about Container Unloading Activities in Semarang Container Terminal. The method used by the author in the preparation of this paper is by collecting data by observation, interview and literature study. The data obtained in the discussion is adjusted to the Semarang Container Terminal services data for container unloading activities at the Indonesian Port. The result of writing this paper is knowing the constraints that exist when carrying out the demolition of Container at the Port of Tanjung Emas Semarang by the Semarang Container Terminal.
