Abstract

System and Procedure of Roro Ship Service at The Port of Tanjung Emas Semarang Implemented Indonesia is a country known as a maritime country whose territory is largely waters and consists of islands. Therefore, sea transportation is very important to connect the islands spread throughout Indonesia. One of them is Roro Ship. Roro Ship is a sea transportation which carrying passengers and vehicles. The type of that vehicles are trucks, cars, buses, motorcycles etc. Because Roro Ship are loaded with passengers and vehicles, the system and working procedures are different from other ships as well as the system and service procedures. This procedure is applied to passengers and vehicles at entrying or exiting. so,it could be secure and safe until destination. The purpose of this study is to know the system and procedures of Roro Ship service in the Port of Tanjung Emas Semarang. Method of data collection used were field research method using observation technique and interview technique, also method of documentation. The result of this study is that the system and procedures of Roro Ship service in the port of Tanjung Emas Semarang implemented by Kantor Syahbandar Otoritas Pelabuhan Kelas I Tanjung Emas Semarang has been implemented in accordance with government regulations.
