Abstract
Optimizasion Function And Responsibility Of Port State Cotrol (Psc) Port Of Class III Tanjung Wangi Banyuwangi In The Effort To Prevent Shipping Accident Accidents are an fatal in the world of shipping with events in a very fast period and the number of souls is not small. Safety is a major factor because, in the world of shipping there is a motto of the safey is first. The factors that affect accidents include human factors, technical factors and natural factors. In order to prevent ship accidents, the laws governing national safety include SOLAS 1974, ISM Code, ISPS Code, IMO Code and Shipping Law. The Master has full responsibility for an accident. The functions and responsibilities of the port state control in this case enforce the provisions of the convention that apply in the field of shipping safety and protection of the marine environment and the protection and working conditions of the crew at sea and also conduct surveys (verification), verification (verifications) and certifications (certifications ) on foreign ships (foreign ship), in order to prevent accidents from occurring.
