Abstract

Coal Discharging Activities on Board of Barge Virgo Sejati 27 by PT Pualam Emas Perkasa (a loading & Discharging company) at Tanjung Emas Port, Semarang Coal is a mining product that has many benefits such as energy source for diesel engine, electricity and steam power. However, to be able to utilize the coal there must be a means of transportation that can bring it to its processing site. PT. Pualam Emas Perkasa is one of the agency companies that handles the discharging of coal at the Port of Tanjung Emas, Semarang. PT. Perkasa Emas Perkasa in carrying out the dicharging of the coal. at the port of Tanjung Emas Semarang PT. Pualam Emas Perkasa is the party that carrying out the activity of moving coal from the Barge Ship to the truck then will carry the cargo to the final destination. As an official agency company, PT. Pualam Emas Perkasa prioritizes its efforts in providing the highest quality of cargo discharging services. The purpose of this study is to find out Coal Discharging Activities on Board of Barge Virgo Sejati 27 by PT Pualam Emas Perkasa (a loading & Discharging company) at Tanjung Emas Port, Semarang. The method used by the author to collect data is by direct observation, then interview with people who are skilled in their field, research library and documentation. The results of the study show that in the implementation of the discharging of coal at PT. Perkasa Emas Perkasa uses mechanical equipment such as trucks, cranes and excavators and non-mechanics such as shovels, wheelbarrows and tarps to support coal discharging activities.
