Abstract

Improving ABK's skills in Setting up safety and maintenance of safety equipment at the State Voyage Ship of the Class II Navigation District of Semarang Occupational safety and health are two things related to the world of work and a top priority for a sailor while working on board. The work meets the feasibility of humanity if the safety of its workforce is assured. Labor protection covers considerable aspects of safety, health, moral maintenance and treatment in accordance with human dignity and religious morals. These safeguards are meant to keep the workforce safe in its daily work to increase production and productivity. The ship's security standard has a stricter regulation than the landed standard. The risk of accidents may occur when repairing components on board. The use of safety equipment on board should be well taken care of in order to avoid accidents. The purpose of the safety equipment itself is to protect itself if on board the vessel occurs in an emergency situation as well as normal, where the dangers and risks of employment on the ship is fatal if it happens, therefore health and safety is very important.
