Abstract
The development of the world now in terms of marine safety has started to grow rapidly but no one can know when the accident will happen. This leads to the need for people who can take action using search technique and help victims of accidents at sea. Human resources are required to have fast and appropriate victim handling techniques, including appropriate and safe action for casualties in the sea. The purpose of this paper is to know about the importance of Badan SAR Nasional (BASARNAS) as an effort to optimize the search and help casualty casualties at sea. The method taken by the author of field research that has been done during the practice at the Office of Badan SAR Nasional(BASARNAS) Class A Semarang, interview the authors do to employees of the Badan SAR NAsional(BASARNAS) and also the literature that the author took from the book Search and Rescue (SAR). The result of this writing is personel of Badan SAR Nasional(BASARNAS) need to apply Search and Rescue. Keyword : Search and Rescue Techniques,Victim.
