Abstract
Implementation of Safety Procedures to Reduce the Occurrence of an Accident on a Ship at KN.SAR SADEWA 231 Workplace accidents on board are an unexpected and unexpected event, which starts from the implementation of dangerous work to this day that is still common. It turned out that the lack of discipline and the frequent underestimation of safety procedures were the basis of all the accidents. Based on the monitoring of IMO (International Maritime Organization) that more than 80 percent of accidents at sea are caused by human error. The fact shows that 75 - 79 percent of human error was caused by a poor management system. By often doing exercises and coordination between ship crew will improve the work management system at least reduce accidents that occur due to human error. The research method used in conveying this problem is descriptive to describe and describe the object under study, so the descriptive method is writing that contains explanation, description and explanation of an object as it is at a certain time and does not draw conclusions that apply in general. The need for shipping safety bodies such as SAR to help ships in the event of an emergency can be one solution to overcome accidents at sea. So working carefully and paying attention to the existing procedures is very important to do, and if there is a very big emergency it is better to contact the government institution in charge such as BASARNAS.
