Abstract
Effect of coordination on board to optimize performance of crew on MT. Nur Huda owner by PT. Putra Samudera Perkasa Transportation has a major influence on the individual, society, economic development, and socio-politics of a Negara. In development, sea transportation is also one means of liaison in fostering cooperation between countries in the exchange of technology and economy. For that especially in the operation of transportation in the sea field that the ship must have a crew who really understand about the coordination between officers with crew in carrying out duties and responsibilities while working on the boat. In fact the task performed by the crew has not met the standards that have been specified by the ship and the company is still often found in the ship for it then requires communication and high coordination. Although it has implemented safety management but not yet applied on board. Therefore, the improvement of the quality of human resources especially for the crew must be run continuously. Steps that will be done to improve the human resources to the crew of the ship, among others, increasing discipline, improve knowledge and skills. To be able to support the smooth operation of the ship, highly qualified personnel / crew personnel are required, certified, have high discipline, medically healthy according to national and international requirements, skilled in performing their respective job duties. Training based on the ISM Code that is essentially procedural or follow the working procedure, it is expected that the crew have an understanding that can support the implementation of work in a healthy and safe way.
