Abstract
Emergency is another State of normal circumstance that has a tendency or potential level of harm to both human safety, property and the environment. Many things that cause such as Collision, Fire / explosion, Kandas, Leaks / sinks, People fall into the sea, Pollution. Emergency conditions on ships may be detrimental to the skipper and crew and shipowners as well as to the marine environment and may even cause disruption of the 'seabed' ecosystem, so it is necessary to understand the emergency condition as best as possible in order to have the basic ability to identify emergency signs so that the situation can be overcome by the skipper and crew and cooperation with the parties concerned. Some of the effects of emergencies include damage to ships, human casualties, oil spills to the sea (tankers), pollution and fire. in the sea have long-term effects (sublethal) such as changes in the characteristics of marine species populations or ecological structures of marine communities, this can certainly affect coastal communities who rely more on fisheries and cultivation. The purpose of this research is to know how emergency handling procedure on board. Methods of data collection obtained from field research, library research and interviews. The problem solving is knowing the duties and responsibilities listed in emergency emergency services, emergency training, and skill in taking action.
