Abstract
The Role Of Fire Detection In Prevention Of Fire In KMP. Titian Nusantara The role of fire detection equipment is very helpful in the prevention of fire hazard as experienced by KMP.Titian Nusantara when there is a fire in the cargo pump, on this basis obtained the formulation of the problem how The role of fire detection equipment in the prevention of fire in KMP.Titian Nusantara. In writing this paper, the authors describe the theories used in the manufacture of research reports and as a foundation for solving problems that exist in the main research process associated with the role of fire detection tools as the theoretical foundation among others is the theory of fire detection tool and theory fire prevention. The method used in this study is a qualitative method that produces descriptive data in the form of written words from people and observed behavior. The lack of attention of firms to the inadequate fire detection equipment makes the fire detection equipment has no role as well as the lack of discipline in responsible for the care performed by officers directly responsible for the fire detection equipment and the discussion is that the skipper must be firm in order for safety equipment such as fire detection equipment to be prioritized in order to achieve safe shipping from fire hazards other than that the skipper also has to control down the report made by the officer responsible for the equipment. Based on the results of the research, it can be concluded that many shipping companies that pay less attention to the safety of seafarers including ships and cargo due to lack of concern for the procurement of safety equipment on board as the suggestion that the author gives is expected the role of shipping company in supporting the procurement of equipment safety on board for marine safety.
