Abstract
Effect of Astronomical Aspects on Weather and Climate Change Based on Observation of Class 1 Bandung Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency Astronomy is a part of natural science that involves the observation of celestial bodies (such as stars, planets, comets, nebulae, star clusters, or galaxies) and natural phenomena that occur outside the Earth's atmosphere (eg artificial and annual solar motion). This science basically studies various sides of celestial bodies such as origin, chemistry / physics properties, weather, climate, and motion and how knowledge of these objects, explains the formation and development of the universe. In this case, the astronomical phenomenon is very influential on changes in weather and climate on earth. Important things observed by a Meteorology and Climatology Station include rainfall associated with the amount and intensity of rain, evaporation from the surface of the land and plants, solar radiation, namely the duration of irradiation, then humidity and temperature both in air and soil, and about angina namely wind speed and direction as well as the influence of natural phenomena that occur outside the Earth's atmosphere. The role of the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency is very important in the observation, collection and distribution, processing and analysis as well as services in the field of meteorology and climatology to equip the public with knowledge of climate and climate change and be able to cope with possible weather changes. Keywords : Astronomy, weather, climate, BMKG
