Abstract
Every country that has water territory must have sea transport that is Vesel. The vessel is a means of water transportation that can be used at sea and rivers, so the vesel plays an important role for the economy of a nation in advancing the country. The existence of the vesel certainly never be separated from the risk of ship accidents that caused by several factors such as Human Error, Equipment Error, and natural factors. An understanding of safety procedures makes people aware of the use of safety equipment, work equipment maintenance, understanding work patterns, working environment conditions, and environment pollution. This refers to the provisions of the International Safety Management Code (ISM CODE) which regulates safety in vesel operations, how the effect of implementing International Safety Management Code (ISM Code) for safety and operation of the vessel on MV. Sinar Pomalaa, that the effect of implementing International Safety Management Code (ISM CODE) for safety and operation of MV Sinar Pomalaa is not running optimally accordance with the procedures required by International Maritime Organization (IMO).
