Abstract
The Process of Loading and Handling of Coal in the MV. Lumoso Surya by PT. Lumoso Pratama Line Maritime transportation plays an important role in expediting sea transportation which is safe in shipping complementary purposes to obtain comparable profits, all crew members need to be aware of the integrity of the cargo from the port to loading and unloading ports. To regulate handling and arrangements that need to be considered, without prejudice to the safety of the crew and equipment. In this discussion, the method used is qualitative descriptive , while the data collection method used is the method of interviewing, observation and literature relating to the management of special loads during loading and unloading. Based on the background of the problem that has been raised, found plans under and under the MV. Lumoso Surya, is a poorly trained crane operator, minimally available loader vehicles, and poor communication between the ship and crane operators. So, it is not recommended to cancel preparations at the time before carrying out the loading and request permission from when making commitments to make coal loading not optimal.
