Abstract
Improving Skills and Discipline of Fruit Ship (ABK) About Awareness And Safety In KM. Tunas Baru In accordance with SOLAS 78 Safety on the ship is an activity to create a safe working environment and com-fortable in doing work activities on the ship. maintenance of good physical, spir-itual and social health of workers. Work safety has the objective of avoiding or reducing the risk of accidents resulting from the neglect of the crew, and to secure the crew, the cargo and the vessel it self. In general must be known for cause and how to prevent accidents, equipment, and working procedures on board. With hazard procedures and warnings on the working part of the work space it needs to be properly understood and upgraded by all crew members regarding awareness and safety at KM Tunas Baru in accordance with SOLAS 78. The study was con-ducted in April 2017 - April 2018 using descriptive method. The purpose of this paper is to analyze the application of shipbuilding rules on the safety of onboard vessels in accordance with applicable rules and regulations and analyze the com-pleteness of the ship's safety equipment available.
