Abstract

The Role of Inspection Boat of KN. Karimun Jawa and Buoy Tender Vessel of KN. Kumba In Efforts to Optimize Safety in Navigating In Work Area of Class II Navigation District of Tanjung Emas Semarang Indonesia is the largest archipelagos country in the world, it is proved by 2/3 of its territory is waters, therefore sea transportation has a very important role for the archipelagic country. Indonesia has 17,504 islands and united by vast sea, so that sea transportation becomes "Veins" for Indonesian economy.To ensure the safety of sea transportation, then it is necessary some facilities to support the safety of shipping activities, such as navigation aids (SBNP) navigational services vessel for example KN Karimun Jawa and KN Kumba which operate under the auspices and working areas of the class II Navigation District of Tanjung Emas Semarang, and other infrastructure. This paper aims to provide insight to the reader about the role of the navigational state ship in the operational activities of navigation for the sake of optimal safety in navigating the vessels that cross the working area of the Class II Navigation District Tanjung Emas Semarang. Methods of data collection using literature study, observation and interview The results of this paper indicate that the inspection boat of KN Karimun Jawa and buoy-tender ship of KN. Kumba have a very important role in the operational process of navigation for optimal navigation in navigating the vessels that cross the working area of the Class II Navigation District of Tanjung Emas Semarang.
