Abstract
The purpose of this research is to know how to supervise the loading and unloading process at the port dock of Pertamina Sambu Island. This research is located in Sambu Island, Padang Belakang District, Batam City. This research uses descriptive research type, with survey method.The type of data obtained through direct observation in the field, writing and the results of research on loading and unloading process, with quantitative analysis. The results of this study indicate that generally loading and unloading at the port dock of Pertamina Sambu Island which is seen from the process of loading and unloading is discipline, safety, confidence, and responsiveness for the sake of kealancaran process of loading and unloading. Nevertheless there are still some factors that get negative and positive responses such as the safety of workers, The advice given is to be more assertive that workers must use safety tools during the loading process.
