Abstract
UNDERSTANDING TO CONFINED SPACE AND ENCLOSED SPACE PROCEDURES IN EFFORT OPTIMIZING WORK SAFETY IN LOAD TANKI ON SHIP MT.CELINE 08 In a maritime country like Indonesia, the role of Seafarers is very important for the socio-economic life of its inhabitants. Sea transport facilities play an important role in facilitating the transportation of goods, in addition to the need of Human Resources (HR) who really understand the rules on the safety of the ship. as stated in the international safety management code (ISM CODE) which regulates management system on board and company or Safety of lifes at sea (SOLAS) about life guidance on board. The purpose of this paper is to understand how the procedure of confined space and enclosed space on the tank load on board the vessel MT. Celine 08. The method used by the author by way of direct observation, with interviews and from other reference sources both written and digital. The results achieved from this data collection is about understanding the optimization of the work effort of confined space and enclosed space in the loading tank that is need understanding and socialization about the rules which then can be applied on board to minimize accidents, as well as equipment facilities ships that are in compliance with international regulations. The personal safety equipment (PPE) equipments at the time of ships such as life saving appliance (LSA), fire fighting equipment (FFE), VHF radio and others, Often as we know. on board of one of its confined space and enclosed space in the cargo tank occurs because the worker is unaware of the hazard or potential hazards within or near the confined space or the loading tank, or underestimates new hazards and other conditions occurring while working in confined spaces or tanks loading on board. Conclusions that can be taken Ship crash is something that is not in want and one cause is a mistake procedure or human error or any natural factors.
