Abstract
Shipping is an activity related to water transport both at sea and in the river which covers navigation, port and shipping aspects as well as safety and safety aspects. Navigating is part of the activity to ship a ship from one place to another smoothly and efficiently. Therefore, the knowledge of ship officers about navigation equipment is very important to help the officer in the bridge guard in optimizing navigating activities while sailing ships. Navigation tools are tools that are used to assist in navigating activities, navigation tools are divided into two types, conventional and electronic navigation devices. . Rules regarding navigation on board are set in the Safety Of Life At Sea (SOLAS) 2010 CHAPTER V Amendment which contains the rules of life safety at sea. The purpose of this paper is to find out about navigating optimization in MT. Pacific Pride Belongs to DM Sea Logistic. The method that uses data collection techniques used in writing this paper is the method of field research, observation methods, interview methods and literature study methods. The result of this paper is that optimization is navigating in MT. Pacific Pride Belongs to DM Sea Logistic in accordance with the rules contained in the Safety Of Life At Sea (SOLAS) 1974 Amendment 2010 CHAPTER V. Although not all devices function properly.
