Abstract
The operation of the ship certainly requires the maintenance and periodic repairs to the main engine and supporting machinery to support the performance of the machinery in order to obtain optimal performance. To support the completeness of the main engine completeness and readiness of the purifier, filter, heater, fuel tank, is a factor to produce good fuel. Good fuel can reduce obstacles during ignition or combustion in the cylinder, so the fuel needs to get special attention in carrying out maintenance. The problems that occur in producing clean fuel for the main engine are less than the maximum performance of the FO purifier in the fuel purification process and the lack of maintenance of the fuel storage tank. Based on these problems, this writing is aimed at helping the process of purifying the fuel that enters the FO purifier and helping to maximize the maintenance of the fuel storage tank by helping to separate mud or dirt from the fuel using fuel oil treatment. The results of the writing are based on existing problems that can maximize the performance of the FO purifier and maintenance of the fuel storage tank in producing good quality fuel to support the smoothness of the main engine.
