Abstract
Shipping safety is a necessity and Indonesia's obligation to provide safe and comfortable shipping lanes for ships entering Indonesia from all over the world to pass. Vessel Traffic Service (VTS) rules are described and discussed in the International Maritime Organitation (IMO). The use of VTS internationally is regulated based on the recommendations of the Safety Of Life At Sea (SOLAS) Chapter V Reg. 12 danIMO Resolution A. 857 (20) about the Vessel Traffic Service adopted in 1997. The purpose of Vessel Traffic Service (VTS) is to disseminate important information to ships that are sailing as a suggestion for ships to make decisions, contribute to increasing Non-Tax State revenues (PNBP) in the Ministry of Transportation, to improve navigation safety and efficiency, and to protect surrounding marine and / or coastal areas, work locations, and offshore installations and possible negative impacts on shipping traffic. VTS also plays an important role in shipping security. The method used in the preparation of the paper is: Observation Method (Observation), Interviewing Method (Interviewing), Library Method (Library Research). For this reason, the author composes a paper with the title "NERNIGATION" TOOLS FOR NAVIGATION FOR DELIVERY FLOWS IN THE WORK AREA OF CLASS III NAVIGATION DISTRICT, CILACAP TANJUNG INTAN PORT. Because the role of navigation aids especially VTS plays an important role in shipping safety. Keywords : Navigational Assistance, VTS, Communication.
