Abstract
In the Chapter VIII of the STCW 1978 Amandement 2010 section A-VIII/I stated about the guidelines related to watchkeeping duties and the prevention fatigue with a rest period of at least 10 hours per 24 hours period. All shipping company around the world to the obligation to implement the regulation because its important to the seafarers health that could effect their fitness when they are doing they job. In accordance with international regulations in Safety of Life At Sea 1974 (SOLAS) and Collision Regulation 1972 (COLREG) all ships must be equipped with navigation equipment such as navigation lights, compasses, radio equipment, echo sounders, telegraph machines, radio detecting and ranging (RADAR) and the global positioning system (GPS), navigation equipment on board that is needed when the ship is anchored anchor must be in a normal state. In addition, when using navigation tools, it must always be considered at all times in order to minimize undesirable things that might occur when the ship is anchored in anchor. In addition, every guard officer in charge of carrying out guard duties is also responsible for ship safety. during guard duty, especially prevention of collisions and runoff. When the ship anchors and in different places, the way the ship is anchored is different, something that distinguishes it is the depth and flow and the weather factors around the ship.
