Abstract
The role of shipping navigation aids (SNA) in supporting Aspects of shipping safety and security in Kepulauan Riau In order to carry out the implementation of navigation activities in all Indonesian waters, the government established a navigation district. The navigation district is tasked with creating shipping safety and security. For the purposes of sailing safety and smooth ship traffic in areas where there is a danger of navigation or activities in the waters that could endanger sailing safety, the safety zone is determined by being marked with Shipping Navigation Assistance Facilities (SBNP) in accordance with applicable provisions when broadcast through coastal radio stations (SROP) and News of Indonesian Seafarers. The purpose of this paper is to find out the role of shipping navigation aids (SBNP) in supporting the aspects of shipping safety and security in the Riau Islands. Data collection methods used are by field research methods, documentation methods, and literature study methods. The results of this Writing Work that the Role of the Shipping Navigation Assistance District (SBNP) in Supporting Shipping Safety and Security Aspects in the Riau Islands plays an important role in regulating ship traffic in the waters for safety and security.
