Abstract

The Procedure of Preventing and Overcoming Fire on board of Accommodations MV. SERASI III owned by PT. TOYOFUJI SERASI INDONESIA A ship is a vehicle or a marine transportation of a particular form and type which is driven by wind power, mechanical power, and other energy, withdrawn or suspended, including a dynamic carrying vehicle, underwater vehicle, and floating and floating tools not moving around. Thus, the ship is not just a tool that floats alone, but all kinds of tools that serve as a vehicle, even though it is under the sea like a submarine. In shipping activities, fires are one of the things that can happen anytime and anywhere and have great risks. This is based on the rank of International Maritime Organization (IMO) stating that fire was ranked second. The way to extinguish fire on board of a ship depends on the location of the fire, the procedure for separating the fire triangle by decomposition, cooling, and isolation / localization techniques. Therefore IMO issued a regulation aimed at ensuring the safe operation of the ship. The procedure of preventing and overcoming fire on board of MV.SERASI III owned by PT. Yoyofuji Serasi Indonesia The data collecting method used field research which using observation and interview techniques also library research method. The result of this study that the procedure of preventing and overcoming fire on board of MV. SERASI III owned by PT. Toyofuji Serasi Indonesias.
