Abstract
The development of the world at this time in the use of goods has been growing rapidly, both imported goods from foreign and domestic-made goods. For this reason, supervision and handling are needed in order to achieve these needs so that both goods made from within and outside the country can be controlled properly and domestic goods still have an economic value such as goods from abroad. The purpose of this paper is to find out about the important role of the Directorate General of Customs and Excise of the Tanjung Perak Surabaya Customs Type as an effort to optimize needs and to improve security and safety for users both companies that will reprocess or consumers who directly use the goods. The method is taken by the authors from field research and evidence reports that there are delays in the delivery of goods and found prohibited goods that enter the customs control area both goods to be imported and exported goods. This causes the need for professional people who can supervise and regulate the import and export of goods. Professionals are required to have good handling techniques in handling goods supervision and the process of dismantling needs that are fast and precise. Including for safety and security that takes precedence in existing activities. The results of this paper play the role of the Directorate General of Customs and Excise of the Type of Customs Tanjung Perak Surabaya is very important when getting information both in service, supervision, injection and enforcement.
