Abstract
PT. Biro Klasifikasi Indonesia (Persero) is owned by the goverment of Indonesia. It is an institution than inspect contruction on ship and her equipment. One of them is checking the thickness of ship’s bottom plate The Purpose of this study is know how to check the thickness of the bottom plate, what factor that can cause the bottom plate to be easily damage or thin and also what to do in order to maintain the it. The data collecting methods used was interview method, observation method, and library method. The result of this study is that PT. BKI has been checking ships bottom plate optimally and in accordance with BKI regulation. Keywords: Optimally, Checking, Ships Bottom Plate, PT. Biro Klasifikasi Indonesia (Persero)
