Abstract
The main discussion in the writing of this paper is about the role of agents in serving clearance with the inaportnet system. There are several background problems that must be resolved in this paper, namely the role of agents in handling clearance, agencies related to clearance, documents required for inputting the inaportnet system and obstacles that interfere with the clearance process using the inaportnet system. The purpose of this paper is to determine the role of agents, agencies, obstacles, and documents when clearance. Based on land practice (PRADA) the author uses several methods including methods of observation, interviews and document analysis. So that the results obtained that the existence of the clearance process using the inaportnet system is very helpful in the agency handling process carried out by the shipping companies so that it can run smoothly and well so that it does not hamper the clearance process it will run smoothly if the company staff employees must be more careful in entering this data aims to provide good service to customers.
