Abstract

The purpose of writing this paper is to find out about the implementation of loading and unloading by PT. Citra Jateng Stevedoring in the port of Tanjung Emas Semarang, from the initial arrival of the ship until the unloading of the cargo, as well as the tools and documents used during the unloading. The method used in writing this paper is the method of observation, interview methods, and methods of literature. There are several factors that cause productivity to increase or decrease, among others are human resource performance, changing weather and inadequate equipment, the longer the process of loading and unloading, the longer ships in the port and that causes the ship's operation to be less efficient because costs incurred also more. Information technology is needed so that the activity of cargo loading can be carried out quickly, precisely and more easily. The unloading service procedure system starts when the ship is ready to unload and the ship documents have been taken care of / have received permission to carry out the process of unloading cargo from the party concerned to carry out the unloading process, so the unloading service can be carried out quickly from the start of stevedoring, cargodoring activities , receiving / delivery in the process of delivering the cargo to the warehouse of the owner of the goods, until the process of unloading the cargo is done. Keyword : unloading, service
