Abstract
In fact the geographical condition of Indonesia which are archipelagos where territorial waters is much wider in the appeal of its land then it is normal if bulld of the and sea transport arrangements today needs to get the most attention. Basically the tendency of the system of port management in line with the order, direction, goals, and guidance of port services with one company procedures and handling in an effort to increase productivity, optimize productivity, optimize user facilities and equipment as well as the development of ports in cooperation parallel and interdependent. The main problem in this paper is how the Document Handling Procedure Ships at PT. PELNI BRANCH SEMARANG running as efficiently as possible, the parties involved in document handling procedures, as well as how the role and responsibilities of the port for losses incurred. Objective discussion of this research is to find out about the activities Handling Procedure Document, to see further how the company's relationship with relevant parties in supporting the activities of these. In writing this paper, writing methode is use like library research and ( PRADA ) for 4 months in PT. PELNI BRANCH SEMARANG. From the results of this study concluded that Document Handling Procedure Ships at PT. SEMARANG PELNI Branch is engaged in the activities of service activities Handling Procedure documents to and from ships, port role only provide labor services for document handling activities from the ship to the company and from the company to the ship.
