Abstract
Many factors can cause accidents when a ship sails at sea. Apart from human error, natural factors will also be very influential in the ongoing shipping activities in Indonesia. The natural factor is the weather conditions on the cruise line route that is passed by the ship. Therefore, information about the weather forecast is very important in this activity. In essence, the main function of weather information for shipping is to provide guidance for the selection of the road so that the ship can sail safely, comfortably and also safely arrived at its destination on time. In this case the Tanjung Mas Semarang Maritime Meteorological Station in making a weather analysis must have valid data quality. Because if it does not have valid data it can cause information sent by the BMKG to the ship to be inaccurate so that it can cause ship or ship crashing, BMKG should provide accurate weather information so that the shipping activities run safely, comfortably and also survived to the destination on time using qualitative methods namely observation and interview techniques. The results of this paper that we can understand the tools used in making observations and then make an accurate weather forecast analysis that will be sent to Coast Radio so that in the cruise line there is no error in receiving weather information. So Tanjung Mas Semarang Maritime Meteorological Station in sending weather information to Radio Pantai is very important so that it can facilitate shipping activities and minimize accidents because the information sent is not accurate.
