Abstract
The problem that must be solved in this paper is how the process of importing goods, what documents are needed in the import of fruit, agencies related to fruit import activities, how the system for handling fruit imports through quarantine bodies and what obstacles occur in import activities fruit. PT. Multi Terminal Indonesia branch of Surabaya is engaged in logistics services, custom clearance, and transportation service providers for shipping goods. The purpose of writing this paper is to find out how the process of imported goods flows, to find out what documents are needed in fruit import activities, to find out the agencies involved in fruit import activities, how to deal with the import of fruit at quarantine bodies, and to find out constraints that occur in fruit import activities. Based on the method of data collection carried out during terrestrial practice (PRADA) the author uses several methods including methods of observation, interviews, field notes, and documents, the results obtained that: handling fruit import activities is different from other commodities, must go through quarantine bodies. The system for handling fruit imports through the Agricultural Quarantine Agency aims to prevent the entry of quarantine plant pest organisms (OPTK) into Indonesia.
