Abstract
Raja Haji Fisabilillah Airport has always been an international status, but because Riau Islands have not been separated from Riau Mainland, this airport is rarely used. [Citation needed] After 2001 Riau Islands officially became a new province in Indonesia, so there was rapid development in the city of Tanjung Pinang and the airport were enlivened by several airlines, namely Merpati on December 19, 2007, Sriwijaya Air in early February 2008 and Riau Airlines in mid-2005. In May 2007 the government disbursed funds for the development of this airport. The project began in June. The development of the airport includes the addition of facilities such as radar and runways plus about 400 meters from the beginning which was only 1,856 meters to 2,256 meters. In addition, the airport terminal building was also expanded from 2,118 square meters to 8,348 square meters. With this expansion, it is expected that in one year it can serve 600 thousand people. In April 2008 the airport officially changed its name from Kijang Airport to Raja Haji Fisabilillah International Airport. The name of the airport is taken from the name of Raja Haji Fisabilillah, a national hero who also obtained the Maha Putra Adi Pradana Star. The runway extension was up to 3,578 times 45 ms (11,739 × 148 feet), and since September 2014 it has been used. Keywords: service quality, facilities, and location to customer satisfaction.
