Abstract

The role of the ISM Code ( International Safety Management Code ) in improving work diciplin as an effort to minimize accidents in light on board PT. PERTAMINA TRANS KONTINENTAL every country that has water territory must have sea transport that is Vesel. The vessel is a means of water transportation that can be used at sea and rivers, so the vesel plays an important role for the economy of a nation in advancing the country. The existence of the vesel certainly never be separated from the risk of ship accidents that caused by several factors such as Human Error,vesel Equipment An understanding of safety procedures makes people aware of the use of safety equipment, work equipment maintenance, understanding work patterns, and working environment conditions. This refers to the provisions of the International Safety Management Code (ISM Code) which regulates safety in vesel operations. The purpose of this Study is to know how the to of the role of International Safety Management Code (ISM Code) in improving work discipline as an effort to minimize the risk of accidents on the vessel Owner PT. PERTAMINA TRANS KONTINENTAL. From the results of the audit data there are still some equipment that is still lacking in the ship, so it is necessary to fulfill the equipment or equipment to create a safe voyage.
