Abstract
Operation and Maintenance of Fire Extinguisher Pump in KM. Kartini Baruna Fire is one of the main hazards on the boat, the background of the author in transporting this title is to discuss the operation system and maintenance of fire extinguishers that affect the operation of the ship. The data collection method used is by observing directly on the object being examined and making observations using references related to the fire extinguisher system on board the ship and the data information that is collected makes direct observation of the object, which will be discussed in this task , aiming for more than one year of sea practice to be able to do it directly and right when sailing. The results of the study show that the operation and maintenance of fire extinguisher pumps on board are very important and useful for overcoming fire hazards on board, as well as carrying out maintenance to prevent damage to engine components on Board.
