Abstract
Repair and Maintenance of Injectors for Improving Main Engine Performance in the MV. ILLANNURPT. ANUGERAH SAMUDRA INDOMAKMUR. Injector is a device that serves to spray fuel into the combustion chamber in the form of fog with the help of a high pressure pump called bosh pump, the injector is very important and plays a major role in supporting the performance of the main engine. The purpose of routine maintenance will support the performance of the engine, so that the injector's performance is optimal in producing a perfect fogging for the combustion process. The factors that cause damage to the injector are irregular maintenance, low quality fuel and improper adjustments. The results of observations when the prala found that injector number 5 was permanently damaged and made alternately, for injector numbers 1,2,3,4,6 and 7 after the injector treatment all can function properly, seen from the test results of a pressure of 310 bar, and the fuel is fogging well.
