Abstract
Operating System Dnd Anchor Machine Maintenance At KM.KIRANA I PT.Dharma Main Ocean Aristianto Email : Aristianto90@gmail.com An anchor is a ship mooring device to the bottom waters, sea, river or lake so that the ship can not move because of wind, currents or waves. The anchor is one of the tools required are on board considering its function as a means to detain the ship that does not move and stay in position. Anchor machine having a steam, hydraulic with electric power, for vessels under 200 grt size can use the manual winch, which is driven by power hand. Type of propulsion pick distinct advantages, such as the steam system has great capability and avoid the dangers of short voltage, but the ship must have a steam boiler, usually for large ships similar tanker. If the machine is equipped with an anchor chain stopper is firmly attached to the forecastle deck, then the device must have the ability to load dropping 80% of the breaking load of the chain. If the chain stopper is not attached, the machine should be able to withstand the pull anchor with a breaking load of 80% of the chain breaking load without deforming the equipment also slip braking system.
