Abstract
The injector is one of the main components in a diesel engine fuel system. The injector functions to deliver diesel fuel from the injection pump into the cylinder at each step of the compression where the piston / piston approaches the TMA point (Top Dead Point). The injector is designed to accept fuel pressure from a high pressure injection pump to form a pressurized mist, this pressure results in the combustion temperature in the cylinder. Based on the background of the problem in the injector, problems can be formulated among other causes of the less optimal injector due to the residual scale of the fuel in the nozzle hole so that the ignition is incomplete and there is a leak in the injector which results in imperfect work on the Kelimutu motor vessel. The purpose of this paper is to overcome the less optimal work of injectors and to find out how to overcome the leakage in the injector. Therefore the author made observations, interviews and documented data during the practice at PT. PELNI. In this paper it can be concluded that the cause of the injector is less optimal due to incomplete fuel fogging and injector leakage. Therefore the treatment is in accordance with the working hours of the injector, and it is necessary to check and adjust the injector correctly. Keywords: engine, nozzle, injector.
